Getting There Is Half The Fun!
As with most great hunting places, getting there can be difficult, time consuming,
and expensive. Winfield, KS is the home base for FHH and it is located just
15 miles from the Oklahoma border and about 15 miles east of I35. The closest
large metropolitan area is Wichita, KS and it is 45 minutes away. In other
words, we're out in the sticks! This page should help you make your trip to

There are numerous options awaiting you if you choose to fly commercial airlines.
Depending upon your home location, you can route your flights through Wichita,
KS (1 hour away) or through Kansas City, MO (3 hours away) or Oklahoma City

If you have a private plane available to you, we have an excellent airstrip,
Strother Field, just five miles south of Winfield. The airstrip is used by
General Electric's jet engine rebuilding facility and can accommodate the
largest private aircraft. Fuel is available 24 hours per day and hanger space
can be obtained for a minimum fee.
